Terms & Conditions

Let us put you in a Sugar Mood!

Hi, I am Dani, the cake maker behind the Sugar Mood brand. I am a self-taught cake maker but I want to assure you I am fully insured, holding a Food Safety level 2 certificate and registered as a food business with the Wychavon council. All cakes and bakes, provided by me, are subject to the following terms and conditions.

Paying the outstanding balance is considered as confirmation that you have read and agreed to them.

Ingredients & Allergens

All my cakes are baked from scratch with ingredients of the highest quality.
They are made to be eaten on the day of the celebration and maximum one to two days after.

All products contain or may contain one or more of the following:
Wheat   Eggs   Milk    Nuts   Gluten   Peanuts   Soy   Lupin

All my bakes are made in a home kitchen where other products containing known allergens are handled, eg, celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters), fish, molluscs  (such as mussels and oysters), mustard, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites.

Every effort is taken to keep ingredients separate, however it is not guaranteed there will be eg. zero gluten in your product (or other allergen, as appropriate).

Some food colours may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.

Full list of ingredients and allergen used for a specific product can be made available by request before the order is placed.

Please discuss with me any allergy/dietary requirements before making an order.

Storage

Some cakes with specific fillings have to be refrigerated to guarantee the freshness of the ingredients used. The guideline for storage will be provided on the day of collection.

Cakes with sugar paste (the soft icing covering the cake) and specific fillings can be refrigerated, preferably in the box they were supplied in. Refrigeration may cause condensation and colours to run and affect the quality of the cake itself.

Your cake is baked to ensure it is fresh for the date of your event. Sugar Mood Cakes cannot guarantee its quality if it’s consumed more than 48 hours after the event. Please remember your cake will not have the extended shelf life of most supermarket cakes, which contain additives and preservatives to ensure their prolonged life.

Freezing the cake preserves the taste of the sponge and icing as much as feasibly possible, but please bear in mind that it will affect the visual appearance of the icing, as condensation may form upon defrosting.

Food hygiene regulations recommend that food should be frozen for a maximum of 3 months.

Cancellation

All customer cancellations are non refundable. In case of illness or any unforeseen circumstances leading to inability to produce the cake, Sugar Mood Cakes will give full refund.

Any refund given for disputes regarding a cake design or production of a design are completely at the discretion of Sugar Mood Cakes and are not automatic. Full refunds will never be given for any cake which has been consumed regardless of dispute, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied. The cake needs to be returned to Sugar Mood Cakes for the refund to be discussed.

Liability

I will work with you to ensure you are completely happy with your order. I shall not be held responsible for your cake order once it has been collected or delivered.

I reserve the rights to use any image of a cake made by Sugar Mood Cakes for publication in all appropriate media, social media, website, etc.
